Contemporary Beauty – Judy V returns

You might remember Judy from a previous blog post, when she came to the studio and we had a photoshoot in 2013.

Well Judy is back for another set of contemporary portraits and I have asked her to tell her story in her own words.

“I have been through a lot of changes since my first shoot with Angela, and she was the only person I wanted to capture them in a shoot. When I first shot with her I had been on HRT for about 6 months and was just becoming comfortable with my body.
We created some really beautiful images.
A year later and I’ve had a few more “upgrades” that I wanted to give the full McConnell. I have had a breast augmentation, laser hair removal, a few minor facial tweaks and the rest is all thanks to hormone therapy.
I’m a lot more confident in my body, and I think that really shows in the images Angela and her team created. I feel feminine, l feel happy, I feel powerful and I feel whole.”

I could not agree more with Judy’s last sentiments more, she is just so serene and at peace that it’s such a joy to witness. I’m really honoured that I get to share these photos, they are definitely some of my favourite images to date and I am so happy to be able to create them with Judy and Trisha.

I had just received a new sequinned acquisition and I knew Judy would look perfect in it. Luckily she also loves sequins as much as I do.
